Introduction:

For one of our hospital infrastructure projects in Central Asia, management4health (m4h) is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Team Leader (part-time or full-time) that will ensure professional project steering and liaison with key stakeholders and partners. Further details of the project will be provided during the interview process.

Responsibilities:

The Team Leader will work closely with the Client (Ministry of Health), the backstopping team at management4health in Germany as well as the project team on-site and short-term experts. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to:

  • Ensure proper project planning and implementation
  • Closely liaise and coordinate with the Client’s representative
  • Closely liaise with the medical planning and design team
  • Steer the procurement process of the infrastructure component
  • Support the procurement process of the medical equipment component
  • Ensure supervision of the local team and the international short-term experts
  • Regularly update the work schedule, adjust milestones, cost and time tracking for each project task, and report any potential delays or bottleckes to the Client, m4h and partners
  • Support update of financial disbursement plans and financial projections for the project
  • Regularly monitor and report on implementation progress to both Client onsite and m4h team in Germany

What we offer:

  • Architect, Engineer (civil, structural, mechanical, or similar) or similar qualifications
  • Additional Master level degree in disciplines such as Public Health, Business Administration, Project Management, Monitoring or related fields would be an asset

Required expertise:

  • Relevant working experience as Team Leader of projects with infrastructure focus
  • Relevant working experience with German Development Cooperation (KfW), World Bank or other international financing institutions
  • Structured co-ordination, organisational, time management, monitoring and communication skills
  • Experience in budget and financial management
  • Fluent in English and Russian (oral and writing), other Central Asian languages would be an asset
  • Good report writing skills in English and Russian
  • Thorough familiarity with MS Office, especially Word, Excel and Power Point
