Jim was born in Texas but his father’s career as an officer in the US Air Force saw him live in 4 different US states and 3 foreign countries (including 3 years of high school in Heidelberg, Germany) before he entered university. He later spent over 35 years in Geneva, Switzerland as CEO of the La Tour Hospital and Healthcare Network.
Jim graduated with a Chemistry degree at Washington & Jefferson College in Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration via Central Michigan University.
In the course of his career, he has worked almost exclusively building the La Tour brand to include opening recognised centers of excellence in Cardiology & Cardiovascular Surgery and in Sports Medicine & Orthopedic. The latter was nominated a Swiss Olympic Medical Centre , a first for the private health care sector, to allow treatment, care, and evaluations for more than 100 Olympic disciplines.
Jim fulfilled a long term goal of opening a new building with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies to earn yet another recognition as a centre of excellence in Oncology. He currently serves on several foundations linked to the centers of excellence he initiated at La Tour, the ESCACancerSupport association, and is on the Geneva Advisory Board for Accenture.
In 2019, he jumped at the opportunity to join the board of m4health in 2019 when he saw the level of expertise and diversity of the board and the management team.
