Dr. Simon Ndira holds a degree in Organization and Information Management from the University of Applied Sciences in Ludwigshafen, Germany and a PhD in Medical Informatics from the Institute of Biometry and Medical Informatics, Heidelberg University, Germany. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and held the CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certificate for over 5 years. He has a consultancy background with over 13 years work experience with multi-national companies supporting clientele from diverse industries, including the health sector, in the areas of IT products design, development and deployment; information risk management; information systems audits, information security; planning, monitoring and evaluation; quality assurance and project management.
Simon is the founder and architect of the EHR, electronic Health Management Information System – www.ehmis.org, and is currently the long term IT expert leading the deployment of the National Health Information Systems Infrastructure of Algeria, as part of the Health Sector Reform Project financed by the European Union.
