management4health, together with its partner MEH Consultants, is the implementation consultant for the project “Improvement of Maternal and Child Care (MCH) in Remote Areas”, which aims to establish a functioning referral cluster of health facilities for MCH in Far West Nepal.

In the beginning of August, the m4h/MEH team accompanied a site visit of KfW Development Bank to Dadeldhura, in the far west of Nepal. With funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through KfW Development Bank, m4h and MEH Consultants are supporting the Nepalese Ministry of Health and Population in the construction of a state-of-the-art Maternal and Perinatal Centre that will provide tertiary-level mother and child healthcare. In remote areas in Nepal, attractive staff quarters are a key incentive for qualified healthcare workers to accept the postings. Staff quarters that accompany the health facilities create an added value that increases the effectiveness and sustainability of the investment. The structural works of the construction have almost been completed. The picture shows the staff quarters that are part of the project.
