From 10 to 12 August, the managemen4health team visited project sites together with a KfW team to finalise the preparation for launching the tender for construction works. In four locations, including Jhaukhel, Changunarayan Municipality in Bhaktapur District (picture), m4h in collaboration with MEH Consultants supports the Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal in the construction of Health Posts and Primary Care Hospitals to replace existing health facilities that were previously damaged by the devastating 2015 earthquake. The German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development has provided a second round of financing through KfW Development Bank for the repair of the earthquake-damaged healthcare institutions.
The project supported by m4h has been delayed, mainly due to the effects of the Corona virus pandemic, but we are confident that construction can begin before the end of this year. Jhaukhel will receive a Health Post Level 2 according to the policies of the Ministry of Health and Population.
