Commissioned by the GIZ-funded RMNHP, m4h was tasked with developing a range of public relations materials to effectively communicate the project’s work, achievements, and future plans, particularly in improving health service provision in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan.

The challenge

The Muskoka-funded RMNHP focused on improving reproductive, maternal, and newborn health services, particularly for women of reproductive age, children, and adolescents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The project sought to enhance access to skilled birth attendance, raise awareness on safe childbirth and family planning, and engage key community stakeholders. However, effectively communicating the project’s goals, achievements, and future plans to various stakeholders requires well-crafted and targeted PR materials.

The assignment

RMNHP contracted m4h to develop high-quality public relations materials that:

  • Reflect the project’s work and achievements in improving reproductive, maternal, and newborn health.
  • Communicate future plans to key stakeholders, including government officials, healthcare providers, and the community.
  • Ensure that the materials are accessible and resonate with both English and German-speaking audiences.

The results

m4h worked closely with the GIZ RMNHP team to:

  • Develop content: Draft factsheets and articles based on background materials provided by GIZ, ensuring that all content accurately reflected the project’s scope and objectives.
  • Adapt for the audience: Tailor the wording and style of the materials to meet the needs of diverse target audiences, including local and international stakeholders.
  • Translate effectively: Provide precise translation of PR materials from English to German, maintaining the integrity and cultural relevance of the content.
  • -Ensure quality and design: Oversee the quality assurance process, including proof-reading and reporting, and design visually appealing final layouts that align with the project’s branding.

The final PR materials effectively communicated the RMNHP’s goals, achievements, and future plans, resonating with both local and international audiences and enhancing the visibility of GIZ’s efforts in improving reproductive, maternal, and newborn health in Pakistan.
